Brazil congress approves bill allowing job outsourcing | Daily Mail …

SAO PAULO (AP) – Brazil’s lower house Chamber of Deputies has approved a bill that allows companies to outsource their entire labor force.

The bill aimed at making the labor market more flexible was approved 231-188 Wednesday night. It still must be signed into law by President Michel Temer, who sees it as a way to create new jobs and help Brazil out of its worst recession ever.

Brazilian companies currently can only hire outsourced workers for support activities such as security and cleaning services. The proposed law would permit outsourced employees to work in both a company’s primary and support activities.

Opponents of the bill have said it will allow companies to fire employees and replace them with outsourced workers at lower wages.
